beautiful lighting Nailati,i was going to add that mybe a bit more contrast added would spice it up a bit,but i think this less saturated look defintely gives more of a morning vibe which im sure you intended, very cool shot.

Very nice morning feeling! I might suggest rotating this a degree or two CCW to make the vertical lines more vertical. Just a minor point though :) Nice shot!

Hey look, it's an actual lensflair. I was beginning to think they didn't exist outside of Photoshop :p. Very nice work, I'm really enjoying the tranquility of this capture. Keep it up.

Alexandra, you're touching photo-manipulation here. I bet it's originally a lens flair you have modified in the Photoshop (like Byonder mentioned).

Since it's good basic for interesting photo-manipulation, I recommend to darker sky a lot - practically you should turn it into dark using brush with black color, because you can catch similar light conditions only in caves.

I will be monitoring your portfolio, perhaps one day you will realise it. Oh, one more thing, ThruMyEyez is right ;)

I have not manipulated this, beyond general retouching. I cleaned up some scanner-dirt. I adjusted the Curves and saturation (original shot on B&W film). I sharpened it.

Here is the original: scanned at 1000 dpi, resized for the web, and otherwise untouched.

As Byonder said, this is an actual lens flare. I did a lot of walking back and forth to get the light to hit the camera like this.

Also, you're both right that it appears crooked, but to be honest that's because the building was crooked—if you look at the ground, it's parallel to the bottom of the picture.

I appreciate your comment, but if it was a manip, I would put it in manips. :)

[Edit: Apology accepted :) ]

Then accept my deepest apology. Until these days I haven't seen photographer that has been able to work with lens flairs on artistical platform (thumbup)

Yep it's a real life incamera lens flare.! - very annoying when somehting is done incamera and people keep saying its something in photoshop.! Much like my Still in the Blur photo comments.....:(....This very nice atmosphere and well done. I like the deserted feel it has.

Lighting is very nice and I think that black and white was a good choice for this shot, well done
